In order to follow his entrepreneurial aspirations, he left Gujarat University in the second year of his commerce degree program.
Adani obtained his first business exposure while working as a diamond sorter for Mahendra Brothers after relocating to Mumbai as a young man. But his aspirations quickly brought him back to Gujarat, where he started investigating the import-export industry.
